Shooting modes in Camera

Most of the Cameras will have pre-defined shooting modes as mentioned below

  1. Auto
  2. Aperture Priority
  3. Shutter Priortiy
  4. Manual

Auto mode

In this mode, all exposure settings (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed) will be adjusted automatically. This mode is suitable for beginners.

Aperture Priority mode

In this mode, ISO and Shutter speed will be adjusted automatically. You will have to adjust the aperture manually. This is suitable for situations when you are interested in bokeh effect (Blurry Backgrounds).

Shutter Priority mode

In this mode, ISO and Aperture will be adjusted automatically. You will have to adjust the shutter speed manually. This is suitable for situations when you are interested in shooting moving subjects.

Manual mode

In this mode, you will have to adjust all exposure settings manually. Only expert photographers should use this mode.
