What is the angle of repose

The angle of repose is an important concept in physics and engineering, especially in the study of granular materials like sand, gravel, and grains. It refers to the steepest angle or slope at which a material can remain stable without sliding or flowing downhill. In other words, it's the maximum slope angle at which a pile of granular material will maintain its shape.
