Each Bamboo build plan has one or more stages. Stages run in sequence. Each stage can have one or more jobs. Jobs in a single stage run simultaneously. Each job in Bamboo has one or more tasks. Task is the smallest unit of work that bamboo does. For example – maven test, gradle, MSBuild etc. Tasks within a job run in sequence. Below image explains relationship between stages, jobs and tasks.
